Daybreak is OPCC's interim housing and day program that offers services to homeless women living with a mental illness. Designed to provide a safe, nurturing environment, Daybreak offers 20 semi-private bed areas, 10 emergency beds, and a holistic approach to wellness so that participants may eventually move to permanent supportive housing and regain independence.
Located on the second floor of the Cloverfield Services Center, Daybreak offers meals, workshops and classes, mental health care and linkage with medical care.
The Daybreak Designs boutique is open to the public on Fridays from 11am until 2pm and by appointment, Daybreak Designs is a client-run micro-business in which Daybreak’s artisans create arts and crafts for sale. Seventy percent of all proceeds from the sales go back to the artists; 30% are invested back into the business.
The WIND program (Women in New Directions) provides classes in cooking, art, drama, writing, crafts and communication as well as social and recreational activities. The community of WIND provides a vital opportunity for women to connect with each other.
